As part of the leadership team at NSCG, and with Manufacturing & Engineering successfully re-established, my primary area of focus for the Group is to lead the growth of our Interim Management business across all sectors via the NSCG Interim Academy – a bespoke two-year development programme. Our plan is to double the size of the Interim division by 2026.
My second area of focus is to spearhead our growth within FMCG, Consumer and Medical Markets – I have worked in partnership with clients in this space for nearly 20 years and have both a deep understanding & genuine passion for the sectors. I am incredibly proud to support our FMCG, Consumer and Medical clients in what is an essential part of the UK economy.
- What experience and expertise do you bring to your role?

I have worked in Professional Services for nearly 20 years. I started my career on the Page Group graduate scheme and worked my way up to the UK Board. After 10 years service, in 2017, I took the decision to leave Page Group and join NSCG to be part of the fantastic business they were building. As part of the SLT team my role was to lead and grow the Manufacturing & Engineering practice for Interim Management. This involved all elements of business leadership – including setting the practice structure, hiring & developing experienced consultants, and ensuring as a division we retained and grew our client base.
As well as leading the business my personal focus was across FMCG, Consumer & Medical Markets.
With record business performances in 2021 and 2022; the practice tripled in size between 2017 to 2022 and is now firmly established as the go to supplier for best in class Interim Managers within the Manufacturing & Engineering sectors across the UK, Europe and US.In 2022 with the division successfully cemented as the market leader I transitioned in to my current role focussing on growing our Interim Management business and capitalising on 20 years experience helping clients in FMCG, Consumer and Medical markets.

- What are your thoughts on the future of your sector?

Demand for first class Interim Managers has grown substantially in recent years as companies sharpen their operations within a challenging trading environment. It is a specialist area so it’s important that professionals have the right expertise to support leaders and businesses. We decided to launch the new Academy to address the shortage of Interim Management specialists in recruitment and we have been encouraged by the response we have received so far.
Within FMCG, Consumer and Medical markets we see huge opportunities and have experienced a large spike in demand for Interim Management services in this continually evolving sector. Supply chain disruption, soaring energy prices and shortage of talented labour has led to a growing number of clients seeking the services of seasoned Interim Manager to support.
- What do you enjoy outside of work? Any hobbies?

- I retired from semi-professional rugby in 2016 – a sport I have played since the age of six and I remain a passionate follower of the England Rugby Union team.
- My other sporting interest is boxing, which I have trained in since I was 14 and competed in as amateur since 2018 after I stopped playing Rugby. I officially hung my gloves up in the Autumn of 2023 but still enjoy the training.
- My family – simply being anywhere with my wife Hannah and young sons Andreas and Luca.

- How do you prefer to start your day?

I exercise every morning before work. I’m up at 5am and get it all done and dusted before my boys wake up and require 100% attention!
- What was your first job?

Officially – the Page Group grad scheme.
Unofficially – a paper-round at the age of 14… it paid me £1 per shift, 7 days per week for the summer holidays. Hard work, and horrifically underpaid – but great experience.

Focus on what matters. Ultimately everything else is just noise. (I’m still trying with this)
