Group Finance Manager

I am the Group Finance Manager at NSCG responsible for identifying and driving cost improvements across the overhead base, supporting month end activities and preparing rolling forecasts to produce the monthly management accounts and month-end analysis to key SMT members on the financials, collating information for our audit team and generally looking out for the welfare of our finance team.

3 years of accounting experience having trained at the big 4, and a Associate Chartered Accounting (ACA) qualification. Prior to training as an accountant I graduated from Manchester University with a degree in Child Nursing, spending a few years working as a critical care nurse at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. I joined Deloitte in 2017 as a financial services auditor, working at a number of listed companies, banks and insurance firms before joining NSCG in September 2020.

Whilst not necessarily forming the ‘face’ of the business, our finance team is fundamental in supporting the group companies. In the short space of time since joining the finance team, we have enhanced our internal control environment, redesigned our management information packs and improved analysis and reporting on KPIs to provide precise information to key stakeholders, thereby allowing individual and company decisions to be made on relevant, up-to-date information.
